Info on the EU Biocidal products Directive 98/8/EEC

LANXESS Material Protection is prepared to support and register LANXESS-own actives and preparations under the Biocidal Products Directive 98/8/EEC with suitable data respective studies - as far as economically viable - in order to ensure acceptance of our active ingredients and enclosure on the so-called "Annex I" ("Positive List"), although many uncertainties exist with regard to the national adaptation, the final registration procedure and detailed data requirements.

Regarding purchased active ingredients we will keep close contact to the relevant producers and suppliers providing them with the necessary regulatory support from our side.

We have compiled a useful _overview on the EU Biocidal Products Directive 98/8/EEC including also comments on the ongoing EU registration process for active ingredients.
