Preventol^® HS 75 is a wood preservative against insects and termites. As active substance it contains permethrin, a most common synthetic pyrethroide.

Preventol^® HS 75 can be supplied for all areas of wood preservation, i. e. for industrial, professional and DIY applications, without restrictions.

In Europe, Permethrin is filed for registration as a biocidal product type 8 (wood preservatives) according to the Biocidal Products Directive. In many other countries (i. e. Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Colombia, Malaysia, Vietnam) registrations for Permethrin are already existing.

New IPBC-based formulation Preventol^® TP BCH 80046 provides various technical advantages

Preventol^® TP BCH contains 30 % IPBC as sole active ingredient.

Due to its specific innovative composition it offers various technical advantages compared to current IPBC-formulations in the market:

Stability in water-based wood preservatives / coatings systems even with low binder content
Quick and easy incorporation in water-based coating systems
High stability against re-crystallisatin even at low temperatures

It is suitable for the fungicidal treatment of all water-based wood preservatives and wood coatings and can also be used for different other water-based products like exterior paints.

DBDCB has successfully been re-registered in Canada

The proposed Canadian decision reads:

"Based on the USEPA RED and the Canadian use pattern, the PMRA has determined that 1,2-dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane is acceptable for continued registration provided that the mitigation measures specified in Section 4.0 are adopted. Additional data requirements are identified in Section 5.0."

New Biocide Labels for EU according to the requirements of the Biocidal Products Directive

For all MPP biocidal products new product labels complying with the Biocidal Products Directive 98/8 have been designed and placed on a new electronic labelling system. The new labels will display the name of the active ingredients contained in the product, their nominal concentrations, our recommended uses, directions for use of the product, and further safety recommendations in accordance with the MSDS. The system will go into operation July 31, starting first with the labels in German language. Further languages are under preparation and will be available on demand.

Division Material Protection of LANXESS successfully passed an Audit by Halal Control e.K., Germany. According to the audit Velcorin is considered Halal and received the corresponding certificate.

Preventol^® TP BCH 80045 is appropriate for EU companies who want to continue the use of CMIT/MIT < 15 ppm (dosage up to 0.249 % possible).

The active ingredients of Preventol TP BCH 80045 are notified under the EU Biocidal Products Directive.
