New tolylfluanid and dichlofluanid dispersions

From October 1st, 2002 on the anti-blue stain fungicide dispersions Preventol® TP SP 80021 and TP SP 80022 will be converted into sales products.

Their new names will be:

Preventol® TP SP 80021 ==> Preventol® A 4-F
Preventol® TP SP 80022 ==> Preventol® A 5-F

All other product related data like article number etc. remain unchanged.

The new Tebuconazole dispersion Preventol® TP SP 80023 will be renamed by 1st September, 2002. The new name will be Preventol A 8-F.

Please be aware that Preventol® A 8-D has been cancelled from our current product portfolio with immediate effect.

Preventol® P 100 - Improved quality of Bronopol crystals available now

MPP has increased the specified active ingredient content of Preventol® P 100 from 98 % to 99 %.

Within this improved standard quality MPP honours numerous customer requests.

Improved labelling for Preventol® D 2 and Preventol® TP OC 3058

Due to a labelling verification of Preventol® D 2 and Preventol® TP OC 3058, the R-40-labelling (possible risks of irreversible effects) is no longer necessary.

Preventol® D 2 is based on 100 % Benzylhemiformal, Preventol® TP OC 3058 has a stronger fungicidal activity as it is based on Bezylhemiformal / N-Octylisothiazolinone.

The labelling has changed as follows:

Preventol® D 2:
old labelling: XN; 20/21/22-37-40-41-43
new labelling: XN; 21/22-37/38-41-43

Preventol® TP OC 3058:
old labelling: XN; 20/21/22-37-40-41-43-48/20
new labelling: XN; 21/22-37/38-41-43

The safety data sheets have already been altered, the product information will be changed soon.

As the ISPRA-guideline limits the use of isothiazolinone-based in-can-preservatives, the demand in alternative biocides is increasing. Both products offer isothiazolinone-free preservation and are therefore suited to replace isothiazolinone-based products. Please note that both active ingredients Benzylhemiformal and N-Octylisothiazolinone were notified under the European Biocideal Products Directive (BPD).

Cancellation of Preventol MP® 100 TG, Preventol® MP 200 and Preventol® MP 300 from MPP-product portfolio

By June 1st, 2002 we would like to withdraw Preventol® MP 100 TG, Preventol® MP 200 and Preventol® MP 300 from our current MPP product portfolio.

Conversion of Bronopol-IT trial products into regular sales products

Due to their good development and acceptance in the market, Bayer MPP has converted the former Bronopol-IT trial products into regular sales products:

Preventol® TP SP 80025 ===> Preventol® P 91
Preventol® TP SP 80026 ===> Preventol® P 91 SF
Preventol® TP SP 80027 ===> Preventol® P 301

Specification, packaging and availabiltiy remain unchanged.

These products have a reduced CMIT/MIT-content with regard to European ISPRA labelling regulations.
Preventol® P 91 and Preventol® P 301 are solvent free.
Preventol® P 91 SF is salt free.

Launch of Preventol P 100 (98 % Bronopol crystals)

In order to complete its Preventol-P-range, Bayer MPP introduces Preventol P 100. This products contains 98 % of the active ingredient 2-Brom-2-nitroporan-1,3-diol (BNPD or Bronopol) as white to yellowish crystals.

The main application areas are water treatment, paper Industry, in-can-preservation of industrial products and preservation of detergents, cleaners and surfactant solutions.

Bayer Material Protection launches 2 new Bronopol-IT-Formulations

Preventol® P 109 N
Preventol® P 840 N

Both products contain less impurities and are therefore less corrosive than their predessors Preventol® P 109 and Preventol® P 840, which are of course still available. The specification parameters of the improved products are similar to those of the preceeding products. This should allow our customers to switch over to the improved products without extensive microbiological testing.
