Metal-Working Fluids
Ready-for-use dilutions of metalworking fluids are aqueous systems whose organic basis combined with pH and working temperature enables bacteria, yeasts and fungi to survive and multiply easily. Besides the technical consequences such as unpleasant odours, clogging of filters, pH reduction, corrosion, or expensive cleaning operations, it is also worth mentioning that unpreserved metalworking fluids may be a breeding ground for pathogenic microorganisms which may cause health risks for the people working with them. With the Preventol® D range of in-can preservatives and with the phenolics and their liquid formulations, there is a solution for the microbiological problems in metalworking fluids applications.
