2008

MPP has received US FIFRA registrations for several products based on IPBC and TCMTB

 

2007

100 years of MPP

Dichlofluanide included in Annex I of EU BPD

Submission of EU BPD dossiers for 8 active substances in 22 product types.

MPP has received US FIFRA registrations for several formulations based on the benzisothiazolinone (BIT) and for bronopol

Move of Technical Marketing and R&D in completely new labs. All organizational units of MPP with the exception of production are unified in building Q 18 in Leverkusen.

 

2006

Transfer of business of Solbrol® products to LANXESS Distribution

Velcorin®:

- Distribution agreement in the USA with Symrise and in South America with Döhler
- Start of second manufacturing unit in Dormagen
- Additional registrations in China, Indonesia, Mercosur
- EU registration for wine

Submission of EU BPD dossiers for 2 biocidal active substances in product type antifouling and for a new active substance

Launch of LANXESS in the stock market

Foundation of LANXESS

Take-over of exclusive distribution rights for the material protection products of Bayer Encironmental Science

Set-up of additional microbiological laboratories in all important regions of the world

Submission of EU BPD-dossiers for 5 biocidal active substances in product type wood protection

Notification of 18 biocides within the European Biocidal Products Directive (BPD), identification of several other biocides.

 

2002

Acquisition of two families of biocide chemistry from Ondeo Nalco (Tektamer®, Metasol® and Biochek®, based on dibromdicyanobutan and thiabendazole).

Acquisition of bronopol business of Union Carbide (industrial preservatives).

Market launch of imidacloprid (termiticide) for wood protection and preservation of plastics.

Extension of Preventol® wood preservative range to include such new active ingredients as tebuconazole and cyfluthrin.

Bayer Material Protection takes in additional sectors such as concrete additives, antifouling paints, sawn timber and plastics.

Sulfenamide agent group introduced as an anti-blue stain agent for wood lacquers.

Velcorin® introduced to stabilize non-alcoholic soft drinks against microbial attack.

Expansion of fields of application. Solbrol® and Preventol® products used in following sectors: paints, disinfectants, hygiene, wood preservatives, foodstuffs, leather, glues, paper and textiles.

Inclusion of Preventol® CMK and Preventol® O extra in phenolics product range.

Development and successful marketing of phenolic active ingredients.

1922

Registration of Solbrol® trade name for para-hydroxy-benzoate esters / parabenes.

Registration of Preventol® trade name for Bayer preservatives.
